Design and Realization of Prosthetic Hand and its Free Movement

چکیده
At present, work on prosthetic hands finds special importance, because this branch of engineering enables the mankind to think for the realizable substitute of human limbs using artificial means. With the advent of realization of various types of micro-motors, this subject of prosthetic hands finds practical realization, because human limbs basically are operated with neuromotors energy being driven by the appropriate neuro signal initiated by the Automatic Nervous System (ANS) of the brain. Present paper deals with the hardware design of the prosthetic finger using gear motor alongwith Programmable Interface Controller(PIC) enabling the hand to render linear and appropriate movement and thus realizing free movement of prosthetic finger, as is experienced by natural finger. The motion of the prosthetic finger is described considering the energies of the finger, when it is driven by appropriate signal. The associated Lagrangian function of the motion of the finger is evaluated for the present study. Keyword— Prosthetic Hand, Lagrangian function, Programmable Interface Controller (PIC), Automatic Nervous System (ANS).

Using the human gait ...
متن کاملVersatile Design and Ethical Architecture
Background: Following the spread of dissatisfaction with modern architecture, the machine attitude towards man, and the disregard for human values and human existential dignity, the global movement in support of independence and participation was formed in response to demographic and social realities. Recognized in 1988 as universal design, the movement allowed more people of all levels of ab...

Objectives: This study describes a single subject design (ABA) that shows the effective use of constraint induced movement therapy in improvement of quality and performance of in-hand manipulation skills for a 10 year old boy and a 9 years old girl with hemiplegic cerebral palsy, as Dickerson (2007) showed it in arm movement and function. Methods: To determine the effectiveness of CIMT by th...

One of the most important case in humanoid robot designing is hand, which it consider as an country development. High percentage of robot work quality depend on hand capability. A robot function increase with hand movement. One of important movement in artificial hand capability relate to fingers lateral movement. This case has more effect intake of special objects such as round shape or moving...
متن کاملDesign and Evaluation of a Magnetorheological Damper Based Prosthetic Knee
In this work, a magnetorheological (MR) damper based above-knee prosthesis is design and evaluated based on its performance in swing phase and in stance phase. Initially, a dynamic system model for swing phase of a prosthetic leg incorporating a single-axis knee with ideal MR damper was built. The dynamic properties of the damper are represented with Bingham parametric model. From Bingham model...
